Patient Information
At Westend Veterinary Hospital, we believe trust and positive experiences are an important part of veterinary care. We strive to provide the support you need to make informed decisions about your pet's care.
Knowing what to expect at your first appointment will help make the process more pleasant for both you and your pet.
Please arrive approximately 10 minutes early to fill out our New Patient Form. To save a bit of time, you can complete the New Patient Form online in advance.
Your veterinarian will review your pet's history and discuss their issues. You can ask any questions you want, and they'll dedicate time to answering them.
Once your pet has been assessed, we will provide you with a diagnosis and options for treatment.
After your visit, we will create a detailed report of our diagnosis and your pet's treatment plan. We will keep this information on hand for whenever you need it.

Please call us upon arrival, especially if your pet is uncomfortable around other animals, so we can prepare an exam room.
For everyone's safety and comfort, please keep pets properly restrained when entering Westend Veterinary Hospital. Dogs should be on a leash, and cats should be in a carrier. If needed, we can provide a leash or carrier for you to borrow. As a cat-friendly practice, we also offer elevated carrier areas and calming products to help reduce stress during your visit.
While we do our best to stay on schedule, emergencies may occasionally cause delays. We appreciate your patience and will see you as soon as possible.
Accidents and illnesses can occur suddenly. Pet insurance can help ease the financial burden of unexpected veterinary expenses, allowing you to focus on your pet's care when it matters most.
At Westend Veterinary Hospital, we encourage pet owners to explore insurance options and offer a complimentary trial of pet insurance during your first visit to help protect your newest family member from the very beginning.
We're also happy to assist with pet insurance forms and, depending on your insurance provider, may be able to submit claims on your behalf.
